Short answer: you cannot pay ChatGPT Plus with USDT directly, because OpenAI only charges a card. Buy a prepaid virtual card with USDT or USDC (for example Pink Card at pinkcard.cc, no sign-up, card details emailed minutes after the payment confirms), then add it under Settings → Subscription on chatgpt.com in a browser. Load about 20–30% more than the $20 plan price so sales tax and card fees are covered.

What ChatGPT Plus actually charges
- ChatGPT Plus: $20 per month before tax. ChatGPT Pro: $200 per month before tax.
- Sales tax or VAT for your billing region is added on top, often 5–25%: a $20 plan is commonly charged as about $24.
- The charge renews on the same day every month to the card on file.
- Subscriptions bought inside the iPhone or Android app are billed by Apple or Google, not by your card. Subscribe on chatgpt.com in a browser to pay with the virtual card.
Step by step
- Open pinkcard.cc/en and pick an amount: presets $110, $220, $500, $1000, or a custom amount from $100.
- Choose USDT on BEP-20 (network fee usually under $1) or ERC-20, or USDC on ERC-20. The deposit address and exact amount appear.
- Enter your email twice; no account is created. Send exactly the amount shown, on exactly that network.
- Blockchain confirmation usually takes 1–5 minutes; the card number, expiry and CVV are then emailed to you (check spam).
- On chatgpt.com, open your profile → Settings → Subscription (or Upgrade plan), choose Plus and enter the card with a complete billing address.
- Before the next renewal, top up the same card. The number does not change, so Plus keeps renewing.
How much to load (worked example)
ChatGPT Plus for 3 months: 3 × $24 (plan with typical tax) + 3 × $1 per-transaction fee + 3 × $2.50 monthly card fee = $82.50. The smallest preset, $110, covers about four months. For ChatGPT Pro, the $220 preset covers about one month with tax; take $500 for two months.
Why ChatGPT declines a card, and the fix
- You just topped up and paid immediately. A reload usually posts to the card within 5–10 minutes of payment, so a charge in that gap is declined even though you added money. Wait for the "top-up received" email, then retry — or top up a day before renewal.
- Balance below plan + tax: top up, wait for the top-up email, then retry once.
- Billing address empty or inconsistent: fill in one full, consistent address.
- Many attempts in a row: Stripe flags repeated declines. Stop after two and wait a few hours.
- An unpaid failed invoice is still open on the account: clear it under Settings → Subscription first.
- Trying to pay inside the mobile app: subscribe on chatgpt.com in a browser instead.
